Today started out like most, cup a coffee and breakfast, then into my craft room to write a post. That's where it all went wrong. I turned on my computer and had a message to update my drivers so I updated them. It took forever, all morning, when it was done my display was all mess up. I guess I'll have to call my son Chris, over to look at it. I sure hope the rest of the day goes better.
So here are the cards I made. The first is a Birthday card using Hero arts stamps from my stash. they are about 7 or 8 yrs. old and I took them off the wood blocks so I don't know the names. I love Hero arts and when I worked at the Paper Garden the owner, Bridget, used to let me order all the time. so I have lots of them. I used a Ranger distress markers to ink the stamp then sprayed with water and stamped on watercolor paper. Then I cut it out with Spellbinders nestabilites "Floral Ovals". I embossed it and then used "Peeled Paint" distress ink around the outside. I used Cuttlebug "Tropic Blooms" embossing folder on a piece of very light violet paper, and distressed it with "Dusty Concord" distress ink, and cut it into 3 pieces. I adhered the strips to an olive card spacing evenly.
I wrapped a piece of yellow ribbon around it and the mounted the flowers using dimensional tape. I added a bow and a banner. The Happy Birthday is from Inkadinkado # 97629 Expressions and Frames, and Ranger archival ink.
The second card was also created using Hero Arts #LL072 Peeking Posies set. I stamped the posies in Ranger archival black ink then using my watercolor pencils I colored the flowers. I fussy cut them out and then I decided they needed to be out lined in black to make them pop. I used my black
Uni-ball Signo pen. I then added some Hero arts gemstones "CH113" from my stash. I used a
Martha Stewart border punch for the edge and distressed it. A little ribbon and the sentiment is from Hampton Arts (jb0198).
