No line Water coloring

Today I practiced no line water coloring and I was very surprised with the result. I have done this many times without much success, but today I guess I was just in the right place, because I didn't do to bad. I stamped it using Ranger distress ink "Antique Linen". I added water to each petal individually and then the color and let it work it's magic. It's still not perfect but I'm very happy with the result. I will continue to work on this technique till I am satisfied that I can do no better.

Products used:
Stamp-N-Up Lg. Lilly stamp
Ranger distress ink
Watercolor paper
PB #30-105 gratitude

I will be entering this card in: Less is More "Exotic"

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

  4. A beautiful card Karen and the watercolouring is brilliant. I've tried 'no line' before and it didn't look anywhere near as good as yours. Perfect.

  8. Karen, I'm like you and trying to get my watercoloring to look like many beautiful examples I see posted. I think you did a very good job on this flower. Maybe I need to try a different type of wc paper.

    1. Hi Mitzi, I have to say that I never expected the card to turn out so nice. I have been trying this technique for some time, with very poor results, until now. I don't think it's the paper because I have tried this technique on several different papers and I didn't like the results. My very close friend Lynda Plecken(http://paperartscafe.blogspot.com)suggested that I watch YouTube videos and practice. I still don't feel confident in this technique, but I know I have it in me,so I'll keep working at it and hope that I can get the same result next time. Thanks for your comments, have a great day!
